The magic of basic science in exposing flaws in hyped technologies.
Triton Gills is a Swedish company that is turning the dream of many swimming and diving enthusiast to reality: being able to breathe underwater. And it’s not heavy diving equipment; it is something much simpler and smaller.
The device is known as Triton and is a kind of snorkel when bitten gently releases the oxygen needed for swimming. The invention uses technology that produces a kind of “artificial gill” for breathing underwater possible.
The “artificial gill” work with liquid oxygen, which when heated becomes gaseous oxygen. Two cylinders of liquid oxygen can be used to breathe underwater for 45 minutes.
It has holes which are smaller than the water molecules, so it remains outside and allows oxygen to be trapped with micro compressor and stored in the device filter. This allows you to breathe naturally and enjoy the freedom of being underwater.
The compressor operates through a lithium-ion battery that lasts up to 45 minutes. The Triton device can enable you to swim up to 15 feet deep. Its price is $ 299.

Busting the Invention as Unscientific
However, all above though sounding interesting and realistic, the invention is not scientific in many ways. Thunderf00t from youtube goes in great length in busting the technology. Watch his clip below:
